University Student Competition: HK Society for Quality

Hong Kong Society for Quality (HKSQ) Student Project Competition started on Jan 23th, 2015. The competition aims to offer an opportunity for students from all Hong Kong universities to work on an actual industrial case and propose a resolution for an industrial problem.

This year participants will be presenting a solution after a field trip and on-site data collection to a China plant of GP Batteries International Limited. GP Batteries is one of the world’s major suppliers of primary and rechargeable batteries. HQ chairman Mr Peter FUNG with the support of past chairmen, Ir. Dr Albert TSANG, Ir. Dr Aaron TONG and Mr Karson CHUI are all expecting solutions that excel in terms of approach, effectiveness, and practical applicability.

Such competition would be a precious opportunity for the next generation to acquire practical on-site experience and to integrate theories with practical application, passing on the knowledge and skills in the quality and reliability disciplines. Congratulation in advance to all participants on this horizon-broadening chance!
