Hong Kong East Cluster, Hospital Authority – “2015 LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt Training Report”
Hong Kong East Cluster – HA previously invited TQM to deliver LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt training courses to its employees in different departments so as to equip them with professional knowledge for applying LEAN Six Sigma in their daily work, which will attribute better customer service to HA. In addition, to learning LEAN Six Sigma methodologies and theories, trainees also took part in practices in Hong Kong East Cluster under Dr TONG’s guidance as one of the actions of the LEAN Six Sigma Program.
The fundamental purpose of arranging a three-month trial operation among trainees is to make the hospital’s day-to-day activities more established. On, 18 March, it was a big day for all staff involved in the program as trainees reported their achievements. Several important persons were invited as juries, they are 潘恩荣, GM of Nursing Department, Hong Kong East Cluster, 杨婵香, GM of Tung Wah Eastern Hospital & Wong Chuk Hang Hospital, and Dr TONG, GM and chief consultant of TQM. Trainees were divided into eleven groups to report their experience in LEAN Six Sigma in the past three months, including the selected goals, information collection, data analysis, improvement projects, and maintaining the improvement achievements. Each group made big achievements in improving the process which inspired each other via their great performance indicated by the excellent reports. Achievements made in the trial operation will certainly be continued while Hong Kong East Cluster encourages trainees trying to conduct some improvement plans that are different. Now, trainees are entitled to push forward LEAN Six Sigma in the interest of Hong Kong East Cluster’s better service.
