University of Macau

The University of Macau is the first and largest leading public research university in Macau. The Provision of Administrative Support Service (PASS) invited TQM to assist their development of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS), and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) to overcome great challenges in managing multiple documents and environmental aspects after moving into a new campus that is 20 times larger in 2014.

Project Scope

• Develop and implement QMS and EMS for 22 PASS units and for all 33 units of PASS respectively
• Provide implementation training and coaching to UM’s staff
• Coach UM’s staff as internal auditor to perform internal auditing

Achievements

• Established system manuals for both QMS and EMS
• Revised procedures and work instructions with recommendations
• Revised UM’s Environment Aspect Register for EMS
• Eliminated nonconformities to ISO standards through tight monitoring on related activities by trained staff
